To study the perceived self, ‘Who am I?’ (Arkoff, 1985), a projective technique was used. Content analysis of the data brought to fore the fact that the self was perceived positively by elderly .However, in terms of both positive and negative self-perception, there was dominance of self throughout for females as compared to males.
