Page No: 239-248

Abstract
A multiplicative error model involving observable variable Z, true variable X and error E viz. Z=XE, with the error distributed over a finite interval, is suggested for a non-negative random variable. Exact and approximate distributions of Z are worked out. Prediction interval for the smallest in a set of k future observations has been derived and some numerical illustrations have been provided.
