Abstract
Estimation of the income inequality in the empirical set up is quite important and can be done using variety of methods involving either the comparison of income shares across different quantiles of income distribution or through employing different indices of inequality. One approach of studying inequality in income distribution is Lorenz dominance method. In this paper asymptotic distribution free test has been developed for comparing Multisample Lorenz curves in the interval of interest [ p1 , p2 ] where 0 < p1 < p2 <1. Simulation study is carried out giving out an illustration and power of the proposed test.
