Convergence of Best Proximity Point Theorems

Abstract
We shall consider a self map f defined on the union of two subsets A and B of a metric space and satisfying f(A) Í B and f (B) Í A. We give some contractive type result for a best proximity point, that is a point x in A È B such that d(x, f(x)) = d(A, B), based on the conditions studied in fixed point theorems for non-expansive mappings by Chi Song Wong.
