India enjoys the prerogatives of an ascendant major power able to straddle dominant geostrategic blocs and the global south. As a smaller Eurasian power resident in the Indo-Pacific, Australia has little choice but to build overlapping networks of the like-minded and relationships of opportunity amid the turbulence.
