Australia and India can Collaborate on Education Reforms

The two countries can look at each other for a cooperative relationship between industry and academia to create flexible education systems that really cater to the needs of the economy, and contribute in the end to the individual as well.

Mr. Mathew Johnston, Minister Counsellor (Education and Research), Australian High Commission in New Delhi, represents the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) in South Asia. He leads government-togovernment engagement in the region to increase international education collaboration on policy development and education regulatory issues and to position Australia as a knowledge partner of choice. Mr. Mathew has served as Education Counsellor in Brazil.
